THE DARKEST HOUR
-ANAM TANVEER.
Falling apart are the pieces
That we try to put back
Though our abilities lack.
There are so many bottled up emotions
Which we try to hide under a faint smile
Thinking we were better at age nine.
The clock in a way tickles our mind
We try to fine peace
But that’s also on lease
We want to get rid of all this
And go finding bliss.
The tears block our vision
Rolling down the cheeks
We can’t scream nor can we stop
As the darkness is engulfed at the top.
Stay strong we cheer ourselves
Holding the pillow tight
May we all the find the lost inner light
In the darkest hour of the night.
